Tecnargilla 2004: the Sacmi stand goes for innovation

Attendance well beyond expectations for the Imola-based Group, the world leader in ceramic technology

Far more visitors than expected and sure signs of industrial recovery were the defining features of this 19th edition of Tecnargilla, the world’s biggest ceramic and brick technology fair which ended at Rimini on 5th October. The Sacmi Group stand – an exhibition area of over two thousand square metres – hosted Sacmi Imola, Sacmi Mold&Dies, Kemac and Keratech. And, inside a “hyper-technological” room at the centre of the stand, was the Whiteware Division with Sacmi Imola, Niv, Gaiotto and Sama. In just five days Tecnargilla attracted over 30,200 visitors, an increase of 1.8% with respect to last year: “Worries about the overlap with Cersaie”, explains Claudio Marani, Ceramics&Tiles General Manager, “turned out to be unfounded. There was a constant flow of visitors, especially from the Middle East. Moreover, South Americans and Asians have returned after several years absence from such events - and that’s very positive”.
The Group, with a first-rate stand characterised by the colour “Sacmi red”, made quite an impact on visitors. A huge room occupied the centre of the stand, inside of which visitors were treated to a suggestive split-screen film illustrating the technological excellence and quality of Sacmi Whiteware products: communicative full immersion that the public at Tecnargilla found fascinating. “Such initiatives, the result of continuous challenges”, says Eugenio Ferragina General Manager of the Whiteware division, “are characterised by outstanding quality so as to distinguish us and illustrate our world of innovation perfectly”.
