The SERAMITEK Trade fair

Istanbul, Turkey: 19TH - 21ST april 2001

The 3rd edition of the Seramitek trade fair was held in Istanbul from 19th though 21st April. The Seramitek fair focuses on Turkish construction industry producers and includes a special section dedicated to producers of the machinery required by this industry. As in previous years, Sacmi participated with a stand of its own, managed by Sacmi Istanbul. This proved to be the ideal occasion to demonstrate that Sacmi is capable of providing its Turkish clients with continuous, constant support. Sacmi, in fact, is the only ceramic machinery manufacturer with an Istanbul branch: it offers skilled sales support and has, for many years, provided valuable post-sales services such as the supply of spare parts and important technical/maintenance services - all provided by highly trained Turkish technicians. Our goal is to boost maintenance service response speeds, reduce spare part delivery times and cut customer costs in both the servicing and spare parts fields without in any way compromising on quality. It was also an excellent occasion to take stock of the market conditions facing Turkish tile and sanitaryware manufacturers: a market, which, given the weakness of the local currency, is becoming more and more export-oriented and thus aims to achieve excellence in terms of both aesthetic and technical quality. Seramitek, then, was the perfect showcase from which Sacmi was able to highlight its role as a full-service Group capable of both supporting and stimulating market demand: Sacmi Imola as a supplier of machines and complete plants for the ceramic industry together with Sacmi Sassuolo, a key supplier of tile moulds and dies. Kemag with long-standing experience in the setting up of 3rd firing plants. Italiansped, an in-Group company supplying competitive high-quality shipping services with destinations worldwide. The White Ware Division, rapidly establishing itself as global supplier of individual machines and complete plants for the sanitaryware and tableware industries, with a leadership position that stems from 5 years of continuous technological development. Two important examples of the rewards being generated by that development were presented at Seramitek. Firstly, a low pressure sanitaryware casting mould using the cutting edge Loprem resin - use of which is destined to transform a substantial part of the traditional production process - was presented. Secondly, visitors were able to view the new Gaiotto 6-axis electrical glazing robot, which, in addition to the internationally renowned quality associated with all Gaiotto robots, offers a huge step forward in terms of software and electronic component design.
