The Sacmi Group heads for Cevisama

A huge stand showcasing cutting-edge technology from 11th to 14th February

The Sacmi Group will soon be taking part in the 2014 edition of Cevisama, the international Valencia-held fair dedicated to ceramic, sanitaryware, natural stone, raw materials, glazes and, this year, machines too. Attracting over 600 exhibitors from 40 countries, this fair remains the key event not only for the Spanish market but also the entire Mediterranean basin.

Sacmi staff from tile, whiteware and heavy clay divisions will be on hand at stand B63 (Hall N2-P3) and are already looking forward to meeting customers and visitors so they can illustrate the very latest ceramic processing technology.
More specifically, Sacmi will be showcasing the COLORA HD BLACK 708 digital printer. This is the most recent version of the COLORA machine series developed by Intesa, the Sacmi Group company specialising in digital decoration. Also on show will be Intesa’s COLORA HW 700 printer, the first machine in the world for the digital application of water-based ceramic glazes, together with the relative GLAZEJET plotters; the latter will be presented in both the GJ330 lab version (mainly intended for colour manufacturers) and the GJ1000 version for the manufacture of large products.

And talking of large-size products, the Sacmi Group will also be making the first-ever public presentation of Continua+, the innovative roller-compaction-only Sacmi technology that allows the manufacture of very large sizes at very high output rates.

Yet Sacmi’s presence on the Spanish market doesn’t end with Cevisama, as it is set to continue at Qualicer, the 13th World Congress on Ceramic Tile Quality, to be held in Castellon on 17th and 18th February. Here, Sacmi will be giving a talk on “Continuous compaction of ceramic slabs using the integrated coupling system”.
The speakers, Andrea Bresciani and Claudio Ricci - Ceramic Laboratory Manager and Sacmi R&D Manager respectively - will illustrate a new patented Continua compaction technology application that allows incorporation of special metallic coupling systems in the ceramic tile, thus allowing the manufacture of slabs ready for attachment to support structures on ventilated facades. The greater efficiency and reduced cost of this system will mean new opportunities for the utilisation of ceramic in the lining of external ventilated facades.

Sacmi thus confirms its commitment to the Spanish market, which, after several years of stagnation, is now starting to show clear signs of recovery and looks ready to regain its leading role on the global stage thanks to the high added value of its products.
