The Sacmi Group’s General Manager, Giulio Cicognani, receives the special Career Award 2003

Sassuolo, 12th February 2004

The joint editing staffs of the magazines “Ceramica Informazione” and “International Ceramics Journal” have assigned the “Career Award 2003” to Giulio Cicognani, General Manager of the Sacmi Group. The Award was given “for conducting the Sacmi Group to the apex of the global ceramic industry, for focussing on constant in-depth research and diffusing the resultant Italian ceramic technology worldwide, and for his commitment to social causes”. Over the last few days Mr. Cicognani has received a flood of congratulations: “I would, first and foremost”, he commented, “like to thank all those who have lent me their support and sincere professional esteem”.
The award, consisting of a ceramic work by the Faenza-based artist Goffredo Gaeta and a parchment scroll, was presented to Mr. Cicognani in the Auditorium of Assopiatrelle at Sassuolo at the end of the convention on “Quality raw materials for tiles with high added value”.
