Brazilian company Duratex, the luxury sanitaryware leader, chooses a SSK shuttle kiln

Duratex is Brazil’s undisputed leader at the high end of Brazil’s sanitaryware market. Based in Jundiai, in the state of San Paolo, Duratex – the parent company of the Deca Group – has decided to continue an industrial partnership with Sacmi that, on the firing and glazing line front, was established some time ago.

This latest installation, successfully started up a few months ago, is an SSK 440/170-10 shuttle kiln, a Sacmi-designed machine that offers numerous innovative features. Of particular importance are the very short cycle times - a factor that will give the customer a considerable line productivity boost.

Duratex’s decision to focus on renewing the shuttle kiln is no chance occurrence, as it is a machine essential to providing an effective response to the needs of a luxury market where excellence and product quality are musts. Moreover, the Duratex project strengthens Sacmi’s position in the area as the Deca Group is expanding fast on local markets, is already the leader at the high end of the range and is also Brazil’s second-largest producer in terms of total pieces produced.
