Turkish firm Sanikey goes for the GA 2000 again

A second Gaiotto robotized glazing system has been set up at the Istanbul plant

The GA 2000 glazing robot, designed and built by Gaiotto Automation, is an extremely versatile system, suitable for all Vitreous China and Fine Fire Clay models. It’s also turned out to be the perfect solution for Turkish manufacturer Sanikey, which has once again chosen Sacmi to help put its development and investment plans into action and boost output quality even further.

This second glazing station, which came online in March 2014, features a combination of high tech and user-friendliness that only the new GA2000 can provide. For example, more and more customers are asking for machine interfaces already in their own languages, and in this case Sanikey will greatly appreciate having a new GA2000 display ready to go in Turkish. Moreover, the new joystick (which also lets the user select the desired language) allowed Sanikey technicians to get the integrated glazing station up and running very quickly indeed.
This second integrated glazing consists of a 4-position carousel that is fully controlled by the GA2000 robot (there is no PLC). All machine functions and settings are entered directly via the new joystick.

The Mass Control system, an essential part of spraying quality/control, is incorporated in the GA2000 software, thus allowing dedicated parameters to be set for each individual spraying programme.

All such features are in complete compliance with EC safety standards, which are also applicable in Turkey.
Reliable, precise and efficient, this second Gaiotto plant will allow Sanikey to automatically glaze another 570 pieces per day while maintaining the very highest quality standards. Such outstanding performance is also guaranteed by numerous other Sacmi solutions installed at the plant, such as the high pressure casting machines, shuttle driers and glazing units.
