Vitromex - San Luis Potosi' - Mexico

New single firing plant

On 26th September a new production plant for the manufacture of single fire tiles, based in San Luis Potosì (SLP), was inaugurated. With this plant fully operative (output capacity of 30,000 m² per day), Ceramica Vitromex, already one of the most important ceramic manufacturing groups in Mexico, has significantly strengthened its market position. All the main plant machines have been supplied by SACMI: these include two MTC070 continuous mills, one ATM180 spray drier, twelve presses (three PH2590 presses and nine PH2090 units), nine EVA992 vertical driers, four JMS 267/12.6 horizontal driers and the relative FMS 267/123.9 kilns. The installation of this new plant continues SACMI’s trend towards expansion on the Mexican market, a trend that has, in recent years, seen Sacmi become Mexico’s number one supplier of ceramic plants and machines.
