EOS Ambiente becomes “MULTINOSE”

Sacmi’s new solution for parallel monitoring of up to 8 different odour sources, with considerable efficiency increases and cost reductions, to make its debut at Ecomondo

EOS Ambiente, the Made-in-Sacmi solution that has profoundly innovated the world of investigative odour measurement, has now become MULTINOSE. Applied on the EOS 507 F model and soon to be presented for the very first time at the coming edition of Ecomondo – Rimini, 6th-9th November 2013 – this new accessory allows, with the aid of a single “electronic nose”, measurement of no less than 8 different odour sources, with considerably increased efficiency and reduced costs.

In a class of its own, this solution will be exhibited at the Sacmi stand in Hall D3 (stand 193). Designed to provide sequential scanning of different sampling points located in proximity to the various sources to be monitored,
MULTINOSE is, in fact, equipped with a pneumatic control unit capable of managing between 2 and 8 odour inputs. A key strength of this system is the software which can be highly personalised, letting the user manage source scanning order and frequency to optimise the process according to specific monitoring needs.

Yet another Sacmi solution, then, based on the principle of dynamic olfactometry, for the odour measurement field, which is playing an ever-more important role in many industrial activities. Thanks to this Sacmi-developed system it is, in fact, possible to monitor the odorous emissions of an entire plant continuously, thus providing an “objective” base for assessing the effective olfactory pollution of an industrial area.

As with previous solutions, the new EOS 507 F Ambiente, now offered with the MULTINOSE module, is an all-weather unit that can be used regardless of outdoor temperature, humidity, wind direction etc., recognising the olfactory fingerprints of specific odours and saving the different concentrations at which they occur. Well-built and reliable - thanks to the outdoor booth with IP44 protection rating - the EOS 507 F with MULTINOSE can detect in parallel even highly diluted odours that lie below the threshold of human perception and can be installed in the field to monitor the entire plant efficiently and with substantial cost savings.
