New CVS 3000: easy, intuitive, reliable

An even more intuitive, immediate interface that simultaneously provides comprehensive information on the quality of the object and on any defects, all on a single screen. This is the CVS 3000 v.1.7, the latest to be developed by Sacmi Imola’s Automation and Inspection Systems Division. Compared to the previous version there are now considerably more simultaneously visible ‘checks’, while the operator retains the option, should he wish, of being able to carry out direct modification of system sensitivity according to selected quality parameters.

Designed to be used also by non-expert personnel, the CVS 3000 v. 1.7 has several new, outstanding key features. For example, it allows the user to generate a ‘history’ of the inspection process, establishing a correlation between detection of defects and their spatial location; the resulting report can be recalled and viewed at any time, even after a considerable time, in order to ensure a fine-tuned production optimisation strategy. Because the system traces not only the presence of the defect but also its location and, on the basis of the history, when it occurred, it helps the user choose the tasks to be carried out by providing real-time identification of critical points in the process and, thanks to the completeness of the information on the screen, by acting on the line to prevent production of pieces that are faulty or non-compliant with required standards.

As in previous versions, the system allows ‘alarms’ to be managed, also via the remote control unit, and provides the user with easy, intuitive control of numerous functions such as defect magnification, overview, ‘previews’, ordering of detected defects and statistical reports. The distinctive feature of the CVS 3000 remains its ‘self-learning’ capability: by exposing it to top-quality samples, the system is able to automatically assess the parameters and therefore set itself autonomously.
