Olfactory system

Artificial olfactory sensors and systems

SACMI has begun technical-scientific cooperation with the Gas Sensors Laboratory of the National Institute of Material Physics (INFM) in order to develop artificial olfactory systems and sensors. The sensors will be produced in the labs of the SACMI Research Centre by using high-vacuum deposition technology to lay thin semi-conducting metal oxide films. This investment aims to introduce new process control systems onto the market, especially in the “food processing” industry in which the SACMI Group is already present and expects to expand in the future.
