100 Loprem moulds now installed at Vitra Eczacibasi

The Turkish group chooses Sacmi Whiteware’s low-pressure casting technology for the second time.

The Turkish industrial group, Vitra Eczacibasi, leading sanitaryware manufacturer with a national distribution network which reaches 90% of the country’s sales outlets, has once again opted for Sacmi Whiteware’s Loprem resin moulds for low-pressure casting. With this supply, the total number of Loprem moulds installed at Vitra’s plants reaches 100. The Vitra Group’s target is to produce 20% of its output with moulds “Made in Imola”.  The moulds previously installed at the company for producing open rim WCs have, in fact, already performed 5000 cycles, running 9 cycles/day, 7 days/week. The new supply confirms the success of these moulds and Sacmi Whiteware’s advanced technologies. Vitra has clearly recognised the advantages of this state-of-the-art production system which is characterised by flexibility, optimum surface finishing of the pieces and a low ratio of space occupied/piece produced. This is all achieved using exactly the same kind of battery casting benches as those employed with plaster moulds.
