A new Sacmi line for Ercan Seramik

Group confirmed as principle supplier to this Turkish ceramic company.

This new line consists of an ATM90 with sleeve-type dust filters, two PH1500 presses, a 27.3-metre EMS235 horizontal drier and a twin-channel 86.1-metre RKK kiln with a 2500 mm wide infeed. Box storage machines with automatically guided transfer vehicles and a range of plant modernisation materials complete the order.

This line, which will be exclusively dedicated to the production of high quality medium-to-large wall tiles, will produce 7500 square metres per day (25x33 cm tiles). Sacmi has thus succeeded in boosting overall output capacity and extending the range of obtainable products.

Ercan, after acquiring the plant from the old owner (all Sacmi-supplied), has set about restructuring and expanding them. Thanks to this investment, which follows in the wake of the restructuring work carried out with Sacmi in 2003 and 2004, the overall capacity of the Bilecik and Bozuyuk plants will reach a staggering 14.5 million square metres per year.
