A quality boost for “young” Future Ceramics

Sacmi-made plant for the production of porcelain and red body tiles started up

Established by a forward-looking group of Saudi investors, Future Ceramics began operations in the city of Dammam in 2009. To make the most of the promising Middle Eastern market this young company has chosen to rely on Sacmi’s unparalleled experience.

Testing and start-up were successfully completed on what is a cutting-edge porcelain floor tile and red body wall tile production plant with a daily output capacity of over 40,000 square metres.

The key elements of this plant are, above all, the four MMC mills, two ATM 065 spray driers and an ATM 180. There are a total of eight presses, four high tonnage ones dedicated to porcelain tile production plus another four high-productivity presses for red body wall tiles. Each press is feeding a 5-channel horizontal drier: these too were supplied by Sacmi, as were the four kilns, each more than 150 m long.

This new plant reinforces Sacmi’s role in Saudi Arabia as a strategic partner for the local ceramic industry. Future Ceramics is, then, preparing to strengthen its market position thanks not only to high output capacity, but also – and above all – to a particularly extensive and diversified product range.
