A tunnel kiln for Cemacon

Now running at full capacity at the Romanian plant, producing over 13 million blocks and bricks

ted up in June 2007, this new tunnel kiln is now fully operative and is producing a staggering 13.6 million blocks and bricks a year. The kiln in question – over 130 metres long and with an effective load width of 3300 mm – was designed and built by the Sacmi Heavy Clay Division and has been installed at the S.C. Cemacon SA plant in Zalau Salaj, Romania.
Designed to be used with the existing cars, the kiln has a daily output rate of up to 40,000 blocks, each weighing eight kilos.
