A new expansion with Sacmi

Al Anwar Ceramics, one of the most famous and reputable brand among the Gulf tile producers, heads for further expansion of its plant in Nizwa. And SACMI is the partner for equipment and technology.

During the month of July 2007 Al Anwar Ceramic and SACMI finalized the supply of the third phase expansion equipment after some months of technical discussion and Optimization and technological Laboratory tests to find the optimal raw material composition for the wet milling process.
The supply includes raw materials feeding system, two discontinuous mills 34 m3 capacity, powder feeding to presses, two presses PH2090 feeding one horizontal dryer with five layers 16,9 meters long and 2,85 meter wide. After this the product is fed to n.2 completely and fully equipped glazing lines, and then to kiln taking advantage of handling and storage equipment. The kiln is the newest FBS double layer kiln (new generation kiln completely state of the art technology in terms of features and performances to ensure top quality in the final product) 2,85 meters wide and 140,2 meters long with a capacity of nearly 11.000 sqm/day. Dust collection and glaze preparation complete the supply.

With this supply SACMI is confirmed to be the main partner of Al Anwar Ceramics and this new expansion is foreseen to be started up in late spring 2008.

After this further investment Al Anwar Ceramics will be able to target a total daily capacity of more than 30.000 sqm, producing both floor and wall tiles , beside special pieces and trims, using only local raw materials.
