Appiani Ceramic Factory

New mosaic production machines

An especially important order for 2.5 x 2.5 cm mosaic tile production machinery regards Cer. Appiani of Treviso (Bardelli Group). SACMI is supplying them with PH690 presses featuring an ejector specially designed to handle de-moulding of the 144 mosaic pieces that exit the press at every stroke. Equally important is the introduction of roller kiln firing: this has allowed renewal of the entire plant, which had previously been using tunnel kilns. The new kiln is a 111.3 m long FMS267. Firing takes place on special scored 340 x 340 plates jointly designed by Sacmi Forni and Appiani, giving a daily mosaic output potential of 3000 m²/day.
