Belarusian Keramin focuses on large sizes

Once again, this renowned company has turned to Sacmi

Twenty million square of tiles every year, over a million and a half sanitaryware items, plus more than 30 tile-batten-trim collections and a workforce more than 3,500 strong: that, in a nutshell, is the Keramin Join Stock Company of Minsk, one of the five most important companies in Belarus, which has enjoyed a solid, mutually rewarding industrial partnership with Sacmi for over 15 years.

Sacmi’s latest delivery of cutting-edge equipment consists of a line designed to produce large (600x600, 600x900 and 600x1200 mm) technical granito and glazed granito. This latest investment was the result of Keramin’s decision to launch itself into the ventilated facade market, especially with regard to the 600x1200 mm size.

The order includes two high-tonnage presses: the first a PH 3800, represents, in terms of tonnage, the intermediate model of the Sacmi range and combines outstanding inter-column clearance (2450 mm) with a nicely compact machine body; the second is the more powerful PH 6200, ideal for managing large sizes and ensuring high output rates. Presses are used in conjunction with an automatic EVA 784 vertical drier: featuring 21 baskets, 1350 mm deep, it also has an effective width of 2300 mm and an installed power of 1.750.000 Kcal/h. Completing the order is a single-layer roller kiln for tiles of the FMP series, the jewel in the vast Sacmi crown - this time in a 295x109.2-metre version - and a suitable sorting line.

It should also be noted that the press and kiln installed at Keramin (the line is currently being assembled) are, in terms of tonnage and infeed width, the largest not just in Belarus but also the entire CIS area.
