Caribbean comeback

New brick production plant in Trinidad & Tobago.

Following its rewarding experience with the Sacmi-supplied plant for the production of “Caribbean” roof tiles, Ansa Mcal Enterprises Ltd, a major industrial Group operating in several sectors within Central America, has ordered a new, complete wall brick production plant from the Sacmi Heavy Clay division.

This project is the biggest single investment to be made by the Group and aspires to meet the country’s entire demand for construction brick.

In addition to outstanding technological parameters, designed to ensure excellent product quality, other key features of the plant include its high output rate (some 744 tons per day of fired product covering a range that includes breezeblocks, hollow bricks, heat insulating blocks and floor brick) and low energy consumption.

This plant, then, stands on the technological peak of the industry and is one of the most important heavy clay investments ever to have been made in Central America.
