Cementos Pacasmayo, more efficiency thanks to Sacmi Heavy Clay

Project under way to achieve a major overhaul of the drying department

Sacmi also supplies to Peru, where it is currently making a significant contribution to increasing the efficiency of Fospac, a company belonging to the Cementos Pacasmayo Group, the leading player on the local cement production market.

They have entrusted Sacmi Heavy Clay with the task of completely reorganising their drying department, a major task that spans from efficiency enhancement of the existing tunnel drier to expansion of the current drying tunnel capacity.

More specifically, this project, currently in progress, will include the construction of a supplementary tunnel equipped with mobile-cone internal ventilation. This will allow, thanks also to an automatic heat chamber adjustment system, more efficient control of the drying cycle.

A plan, then, that is “made-to-measure” for the specific needs of Fospac, which makes products from raw materials with a high concentration of diatomite, making drying process efficiency an essential factor in both the productivity performance of the line and the quality of the output.
