Ceramica CORTINES: Argentina

New single-firing plant

The new CerĂ¡mica Cortines single-firing red body floor and wall tiling plant in the Province of Buenos Aires (Argentina) is now nearing completion. The line consists of two PH1890 presses, 1 horizontal 5-layer ECP dryer, 2 glazing lines equipped for the decoration of a wide range of products and an FMS kiln, 2670 mm wide and 119.7 metres long. Finished product classification will be effected by a new 7-code MASTER sorting line and 9 stacking units complete with an automatic palletizer supplied by SACMI AUTOMATION. The initially supplied formats will be 30x30, 40x40 and 30x45. This important investment will boost the on-market presence of CerĂ¡mica Cortines, enhancing its role as both a key player on the Argentinian market and, through its constant quest for greater quality, as an exporter.
