Ceramica Globo: Gaiotto boosts the prototype department

New automation reinforces the Sacmi-Globo industrial partnership

After more than twenty years of steady expansion, Ceramica Globo – based in Civita Castellana and a key player in the sanitaryware and bathroom furnishing sectors – knows that Gaiotto Automation is the perfect strategic partner when it comes to putting investment plans into profitable practice. More specifically, an integrated robot-equipped prototyping workstation has already been installed, tested and made operative: yet another achievement by the Sacmi Group’s specialist designer and provider of automated solutions for the ceramic tile and sanitaryware industries.

This particular solution offers numerous advantages. It allows for the efficient production of prototypes in various materials, from polyurethane to plaster and wood. Manufactured items, then, that can imitate every possible characteristic of ceramic sanitaryware, giving the producer the opportunity to carry out in-depth assessment of both aesthetic and practical aspects, such as the all-important flushing performance of WCs.

Ceramica Globo is extremely satisfied with this new system as its provides, among other things, the opportunity to make new product prototypes at low cost and exhibit them at trade fairs to gauge market response. Globo’s long-standing industrial partnership with Sacmi thus continues to go from strength to strength. This latest robot-equipped integrated workstation joins other machines and systems that have been supplied over recent years, such as the Fine Fire Clay shower tray production line complete with inspection systems, glazing unit and shuttle kiln. Sacmi has also supplied two complete Vitreous China lines complete with three robotized Gaiotto-made glazing stations.
