Ceramica del Norte, based in Salta in north-west Argentina and capital of the province of the same name, is one of the South American largest brick manufacturers. Following the initial investment – made 3 years ago with the supply by Sacmi Heavy Clay of the equipment for the new production line for hollow bricks, load-bearing bricks and loft/floor bricks – Ceramica del Norte consolidated its trust in the Sacmi Group by choosing Sacmi-Cosmec for the installation of their fourth production unit.
Supplied and installed in a very short time, the plant was tested successfully and production started at the beginning of this year, to the great satisfaction of the customer. The noteworthy added value of this latest supply is in the synergy with Cosmec – a company acquired by Sacmi two years ago, having a forty-year experience in products handling for the heavy clay industry. As in the previous plant, the new production line is equipped with everything it needs to guarantee high-levels of process automation from the cutting phase to the discharge of the fired product.
The order for the fifth production unit, recently placed by Ceramica del Norte, goes to prove the customer’s satisfaction and reinforced confidence in the Sacmi Group. This new supply, now being shipped, will further strengthen its partnership with Sacmi and at the same time will allow the South American company to further consolidate its position as a leader among the main brick manufacturers in the country.
