New glaze grinding and spray drying plant

Colorveggia, one of the oldest colour suppliers in the Sassuolo area, is set to install a new glaze grinding and spray drying plant. This is because new technologies such as the Sacmi twinpress system require more and more oxides having the same characteristics as porcelain tile bodies. Colorveggia will be installing 38,000-litre mills with inverter and special grinding media that has been developed by Sacmi together with Alubit manufacturers. The spray driers will have an H20 evaporating power of 1200 litres and will be sized so as to provide a product with a residual moisture content of 1–2% and low particle size distribution. Sacmi is currently working with other colour plants on plans for similar lines.
