Continua+, Sacmi to take centre-stage at Revestir 2018

The Group will soon take part in the 16th edition of the fair in Sao Paolo, Brazil, with a stand in the collective ACIMAC area. On Friday 16th March, Sacmi gives a talk on Continua+ to illustrate its characteristics and highlight the latest developments

Continua+, the Sacmi-developed technological revolution in large slab manufacturing, will play a pivotal role at the sixteenth edition of Expo Revestir, South America's biggest international ceramic industry event. The fair will be held in Sao Paolo do Brasil from 13 to 16 March 2018. The over 40,000 m2 of the Transamerica Expo Center will host at least 250 international brands, while two special 'Creative Days' will be dedicated to presenting the very latest technology and illustrating industry-related market trends.

Sacmi is set to play a central role in this 'creative' segment of Revestir and will, on Friday 16 March, at 11.45, give a talk on the subject of Continua+Por que ser grande?” (Continua+.... Why being big?). Starting with the growing market success of Continua+ (forty such solutions have been sold all over the world since the launch of this revolutionary technology), the presentation will illustrate new developments that extend large slab potential even further. These range from the new integrated DHD wet digital decoration module to the MDX system which provides real-time control of slab density and planarity.

In addition to illustrating all the latest Continua+ features, Sacmi aims to make good use of its presence at this key South American fair to present its comprehensive range of ceramic industry solutions, from all-new smart presses with integrated automation and recent digital decoration solutions to the Sacmi H.E.R.E. (Human Expertise for Reactive Engineering) plant supervisor, which allows implementation of advanced 4.0 monitoring, diagnostics and logistical efficiency functions.

The Sao Paolo event is also the perfect showcase for Sacmi's technological leadership in ceramic sanitaryware. Consequently, the Group will be showing the Brazilian market its extremely innovative pressure casting and robotized glazing solutions, applicable with all article types, including the most complex. Shared features on all solutions include outstanding automation and consistently high finished product quality, not to mention reduced consumption and lower maintenance requirements.

Sacmi will be on stand 2055, located within the collective ACIMAC (Association of Italian Ceramic Machine and Equipment Constructors) exhibition area, which brings together all the very best ‘Made in Italy’ ceramic technology. It should also be pointed out that the Group has, via numerous companies and branches, a well organised, far-reaching presence in South America. More specifically, Sacmi do Brasil, a true production facility just a stone's throw from Sao Paolo, has been the technical assistance and spare parts hub for the entire Brazilian market for over 45 years.
