DECA Brazil goes for Gaiotto’s GA OL again

New automatic glazing system supplied to the Queimados plant

Following the recent successful start-up of an automatic glazing system at its Jundiai plant, the Deca Group has now decided to order a new glazing line for the Queimados factory.

The system used at the Jundiai plant, dedicated exclusively to the glazing of WC tanks, is perfect for processing a large number of articles (3000 pieces/day) but without any compromising on quality or consumption. Fully operative for two months now, it is already clear that the system, with its 5 OFFLINE glazing programmes, ensures very low glaze consumption and minimum overspray. Extremely pleased with these results, Deca has, therefore, again chosen Sacmi to implement its development and investment plans - the goal of which is to boost quality, savings and output even further - by confirming a second glazing line, specially designed for the Queimados plant.

This highly versatile system, developed and built by Gaiotto Automation, is suitable for all Vitreous China models and features two GA OL robots for OFFLINE glazing. The new line has a daily output capacity of 1,150 WCs and 240 tanks and offers a perfect combination of high tech and user-friendliness thanks to the new GA OL robot and associated conveyor belt system.

The system consists of two 2-position turrets, fully managed by the GA OL robot, equipped with the new integrated mass control system. The latter allows the manufacturer to control the characteristics of the glaze being used and also alerts workers to any variations that might affect piece quality.

Like the first line, this system features OFFLINE programmes, which ensure good glaze consumption savings by ensuring a very low percentage of overspray. It also includes a remote assistance module which, thanks to an Ethernet network interface, provides direct assistance from Italy.

Once again, then, the Sacmi Group has demonstrated outstanding flexibility and a unique ability to meet customer requirements even where the product range has decidedly non-standard characteristics.
