Digital decoration, the advantages of Sacmi solutions

Intesa’s integrated machine range to be showcased at the Acimac conference

At the fifth edition of the “Annual Meeting on Digital Technology”, organised by Acimac – to be held on Friday 8th November at the Astoria Theatre in Fiorano Modenese - Sacmi will be taking part with a talk on “Glazing and decoration in the digital age”.

More specifically, the report by Erminio Guiducci, the Business Manager of Intesa - the Group company specialising in the design of machines and complete plants for digital decoration – will aim to illustrate the full extent of Sacmi’s digital solutions: nothing less than a true “DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM”, perfectly integrated to provide an optimal response to every possible kind of production requirement.

From the new COLORA HD BLACK 708 (the most recent addition to the COLORA series, able to house up to 8 colour bars) to CRONO (the renowned colour control system now enhanced with new functions) and the COLORSCAN plotter, Sacmi provides, then, an integrated system that ensures exceptional autonomy and output flexibility.

Yet the real revolution awaiting the ceramic production process is represented by the fact that mere decoration with inks will soon evolve into complete digitalisation of the glazing line. That revolution has been possible by the innovative HW print technology, developed by Sacmi for the digital application of water-based glazes. HW technology can be used not just for the traditional application of glazes and engobes, but also - and above all – to create ceramic surfaces with new chromatic and optical effects, including true “3D” relief structuring, while simultaneously reducing line length, enhancing automation and making the entire production process more user-friendly.
