Esedra goes for the guarantee of Sacmi’s GA 2000

Based in Civita Castellana, Esedra is set to extend its product range thanks to a new glazing line

The outstanding GA 2000: the best-selling model made by Gaiotto – the Sacmi Group’s world-leading designer and builder of highly automated glazing and painting plants - that has won widespread market acclaim. The customer: Ceramica Esedra S.r.l., based in the Civita Castellana district, has chosen Sacmi as its partner of excellence to complete investment and growth plans.

Thanks to the new, complete glazing plant – equipped with glazing booth, robot, mass control system for glaze delivery, a four-position turret and special in-out conveyors – Ceramica Esedra S.r.l. will now be able to extend its output capacity considerably. Previously limited to Fine Fire Clay shower trays and Vitreous China sanitaryware, the company can now extend its Vitreous China range to include washbasins and WCs.

Installed and started up in record time, the new plant – fully automated and with an output rate of some 400 pieces per shift – is already operating, to the customer’s enormous satisfaction, at full capacity. In keeping with Esedra’s future expansion plans, this will be the first of a series of orders supplied to Esedra by Sacmi. Which is hardly surprising, as Ceramica Esedra S.r.l., ever since its founding in 1999, has maintained a clear focus on a technological excellence in which process automation is one of the keys to increased markets shares and further advances in terms of both quality and quantity.
