Fincibec invests in its long-standing Sassuolo site

Development, eco-sustainability, energy savings: the key points of the investment plan in which Sacmi-supplied packaging and handling solutions will play a pivotal role

Following completion of major projects at the Roteglia-based Century plant over the last few months, the Fincibec Group continues to invest by laying down the foundations for renewal of its long-standing Monocibec site in Sassuolo.

The cornerstone of the project is the installation of a new EkoRoll packaging machine - Nuova Fima brand, designed and built by Sacmi Group. Recently previewed at the last edition of Tecnargilla, this unit will ensure excellent rationalisation of cardboard stocks and their reduced use (by up to 65%).

“The huge success of this machine”, states GIUSEPPE MISELLI of Sacmi, “stems from its excellent output rate”.

This important order also includes a sorting line and laser-guided vehicles (LGV) produced by Nuova Sima, all part of an investment plan that will, over the coming months, be focussing on development, innovation, energy saving and eco-sustainability.

Moreover, “the investment plan designed to ensure a large-size slab output capacity at the Monocibec plant in Sassuolo will be preceded”, points out Vittorio Borelli, Managing Director of Fincibec, “by the installation of a new PH6500 press to ensure optimisation of standard sizes too”.
