Flonal and Sacmi: a tried and tested partnership

Second line for production of non-stick pans soon to be installed

With over 25 years experience, Flonal spa , located in Bellocchi di Fano, is now one of Italy’s most elite non-stick aluminium producers: its strategy for growth and success has always been based on technological innovation – thus ensuring the customer gets nothing less than the very best.

For some years now Sacmi Imola has been offering its customers in the cookware industry a series of high-tech solutions that aim to provide them with optimum performance in terms of finished product quality, productivity and energy consumption.

It should come as no surprise, then, that the Fano-based company has got back in touch with Sacmi for the installation of a new automated line that will make non-stick aluminium articles.

In December the second PHP3590 deep drawing press will be started up at the plant. This 3500 ton press, able to draw articles up to 130 mm high, ensures, thanks to its high tonnage, maximum deformation of the aluminium, therefore minimising raw material use and consequently reducing costs.

To complete the order Sacmi is also supplying two DPD and APB modules, which allow customers to set up a completely automated production process.
Starting from a stack of aluminium discs the Sacmi line removes the individual disc, aligns it, oils it and then introduces the pre-treated disc into the press. The last stage is ejection of the finished product.
