Gaiotto gives Laterificio Meridionale flexibility

Foggia-based company supplied with new robotized loading-unloading unit

The Laterificio Meridionale production plant is based in Lucera (Foggia, Italy). For over thirty years it has been producing top-grade floor and wall bricks, following long-standing tradition while paying careful attention to technological innovation and product quality.

Needless to say, this Puglia-based firm seeks out only the very best suppliers, allowing it to boost process automation and simultaneously enhance output flexibility. More specifically, the company will very soon be installing a robotized unit made by Gaiotto, a Sacmi Group company specialising in industrial automation solutions.

This particular unit, which consists of a dual robot, unloads the fired products. The key advantage of this robot is that it can manage different kiln car load configurations, thus providing a flexibility that would be impossible with traditional solutions.
