Gruppo Sanitari Italia – Italy

Glazing plant extended

About a year ago the shower tray glazing plant at GSI (Gruppo Sanitari Italia - Viterbo) was extended. This involved the addition of a shuttle to allow complete automation of the glazing line piece loading system. The pieces are now picked up from the two inspection booths and deposited on a glazing turret feeder automatically. The shuttle effectively replaces the piece load/unload operator, thus eliminating manual work while speeding up, increasing and automating output. The GSI extension project stems from technically advanced, innovative developments that allow Gaiotto to re-organise production flows efficiently through optimum use of new technology. More specifically, Gaiotto has skilfully installed cutting-edge piece handling systems and thus reduced manual work to a minimum while providing solutions that best meet customer needs and requirements.
