Hitit Ceramics: hitting the big time with Sacmi

All-new porcelain tile production plant now being started up

This is an important purchase for Hitit Ceramics as it promises to reinforce their already-solid market position by boosting product quality and quantity while widening the available size range. All thanks to a brand new plant from Sacmi, which has enjoyed mutually rewarding business relations with this company, based near Usak, capital of the same-named province of western Turkey, since 2003.

Designed to produce glazed and technical porcelain tiles, the plant consists of two all-new PH5000L presses from the latest Imola Series (being installed in Turkey for the very first time) plus two vertical driers and glazing lines. On the firing side Hitit can rely on a single-channel 149.1-metre FMP2900, which is preceded by a 12.9-metre JMP drier, also a first for this country. Magnetically-guided handling vehicles, sorting lines and a Sacmi-managed mould pool complete the plant.

Hitit is a small ceramics producer - with a big future: thanks to the farsightedness of their outstanding managerial and marketing teams the brand has already gained quite a reputation both at home and abroad. Already the best Turkish producer in terms of average product sale value, the company is now set to become a major player thanks to this latest order and its renewed reliance on Sacmi - a corporate decision that reflects the one made in 2003 when the double fire plant was modernised.

Cutting-edge technology, attentively designed accessories and great styling make this new plant, now installed at Hitit Ceramics, one of the best technology-design mix in Turkey for an estimated output rate of up to 10-12 thousand square metres a day: essential requisites for a company looking to become Turkey’s top maker of glazed porcelain tiles.
