Ideal Sanitaire chooses a new Gaiotto robot

Tunisian firm strengthens its trust in Sacmi

Tunisian firm Ideal Sanitaire, located in Tunisi’s industrial district, has an extensive facility with an annual production potential in the order of one million sanitaryware pieces, in both vitreous china and fine fire-clay: now, the company has decided to modernise its production line by installing a GA 2000 robot built by Gaiotto, the Sacmi Group company that specialises in the design and construction of industrial automation solutions.

The renewed department is now equipped with a booth in which the glazing robot is installed on a four-station turret.
Designed to offer maximum output flexibility, the GA 2000 stands out for its reliability, efficiency and precision. It also ensures an outstandingly fine product finish, especially in the configuration complete with “mass control” (as is the case with the robot installed at Ideal Sanitaire) which monitors and optimises the delivered quantity of glaze. The robot also features a user-friendly interface for the control and management of glazing operations and can “self-learn”, minimising machine set-up times and consequently speeding up production line starts.

Ideal Sanitaire belongs to the ceramic-making Les Orangers Group, which operates together with Tunisie Porcelain, a specialised tableware maker. The Tunisian firm continues to invest in Sacmi technology: its ongoing trust in Sacmi-designed solutions is steadily making it one of North Africa’s best ceramic producers.
