Important contract for a granite production plant in Vietnam.

SACMI has agreed upon a contract with the DONG TAM MIENG TRUNG company for the development of a new high-tech granite production plant in Danang. SACMI is to supply pressing, drying and firing machines: four PH 2890 presses, four vertical EVA 992 driers and, for the first time in Asia, two kilns from the FMP range which are 126 m long with a 2500 mm mouth. In particular, the presses are set up for advanced applications; for example, in order to produce whole-body effects by using the MDR equipment or particular surface effects with double loading systems. The machines are to be delivered in May, 2000 and production, which is estimated to reach 15,000 m² per day (including a certain amount of single-firing) is due to start in September.
