Keramin Minsk – Byelorussia

New fast double firing plant

The end of August 2002 saw final testing of a new fast double firing plant at the Keramin Joint Stock Company in Minsk (Byelorussia), a plant similar to the line supplied 2 years ago. All the machines, at every stage of the process - from pressing to sorting and palletizing - have been supplied by Sacmi. Once operative, the line will produce 7,430 m² of tiles (200x300 mm) per day. This new line consists of the following machines: two PH2090 presses (of which one is on stand-by), a JMS250/25.2 horizontal drier, two glazing machines (one of which is a reserve), a FMS250/105 biscuit kiln, a glost kiln of the same type and a Master sorting line connected directly to the latter. The palletization line is fully automatic. The biscuit is stored on racks, while the glazing line is connected directly to the glost kiln (an intervening roller box storage system caters for emergency storage needs). This investment, thanks to which Keramin Joint Stock has successfully replaced a previous line made up of old locally-built machines, now allows the plant to produce quality products while keeping energy consumption to a minimum.
