Keramir focuses on new sizes with the SACMI PH3800

Equipped with the CRS (fast mould changeover) system, this new press is helping this St Petersburg firm win over new market segments

The development of new models and sizes is a top priority for Keramir Saint Petersburg, a long-standing SACMI customer with an ambitious plant engineering renewal and modernisation plan. Already fully tested and operational, the new SACMI-supplied PH3800 press for tiles as large as 300x600 and 200x500 mm means Keramir can now expand into new wall tile market segments.

Moreover, the new press has been equipped with the CRS system, the SACMI-designed fast mould changeover device that sets the global standard for large press management. Characterised by the innovative permanent magnets mould attachment method and a handling/alignment device that allows insertion to be performed by just one worker without using any further tools, CRS minimises mould replacement times while increasing worker safety and reducing bulk.

Furthermore, effective teamwork between SACMI and Keramir saw the press installed in perfect synergy with the existing plant engineering layout. This made it easier for Keramir to make the technological upgrades it had been seeking for some time, achieved by availing themselves of the very best European technology and SACMI-guaranteed round-the-clock assistance; assistance that can count on a long-standing, smoothly organised market presence in the form of SACMI Moscow, the service hub that provides close customer support before, during and after the sale.
