L CUBE - Long Life Lining - is here

At Tecnargilla 2010 the new Sacmi wear-resistant lining for continuous mills

SACMI has affirmed its technological leadership in the continuous grinding field by presenting the market with a new, exclusive mill lining, designed and developed in partnership with Bitossi and B&B.
This synergy has led to the development of an all-new anti-wear system for the ceramic industry, obtained by vulcanising the rubber around specially designed aluminium bricks.

L CUBE (Long Life Lining) thus combines the easy maintenance typical of rubber with the longer-lasting durability and energy efficiency of aluminium (thanks to this new material even the impacting of grinding media on the cladding is effective for grinding purposes).

The shape of the composite panels optimises lining durability while, at the same time, increasing energy efficiency by about 5%. Therefore:
1. a mill fitted with L CUBE will, energy consumption remaining equal, increase output by about 5%;
2. L CUBE panels last at least 3 times longer than traditional rubber linings.

Using L CUBE will thus allow those SACMI customers that choose it to gain a further technological advantage and take another step towards maximum grinding efficiency, reduced labour costs and less downtimes for lining maintenance purposes.

At a time when environmental and energy problems are ever-more crucial, SACMI has again succeeded in enhancing its H.E.R.O. (High Efficiency Resource Optimizer) project: a research and development lab dedicated to the development of innovative technologies to optimise resources and reduce energy consumption, in an environmentally-conscious way that constantly raises quality standards.
