Large tiles, Fincibec renews its trust in Sacmi

After the all-new EkoRoll packaging machines, the Sassuolo-based Group has now purchased a PH 6500 press, widely acclaimed by the market on account of its outstanding flexibility and efficiency in the manufacture of large tiles

After making a major end-of-line investment (just a few months ago two all-new EkoRoll automatic packaging machines made by Nuova Fima were installed), the Fincibec Group has now decided to strengthen its technological and plant engineering base for the manufacture of large-format tiles. Once again, it has done so by seeking a solution from Sacmi.

Just recently, in fact, Vittorio Borelli - Managing Director of the Sassuolo-based Group and, since 2013, head of Confindustria Ceramica – announced the purchase of an all-new PH 6500, a hydraulic press from the Imola series that, with a maximum pressing force of 64,000 kN and an inter-column clearance of 2450 mm, is one of the most powerful presses on the market and just perfect for producing very large tiles.

Offering exceptional pressing power, the machine can run at speeds of up to 17 cycles per minute. Equipped with a rapid die changeover system, it lets manufacturers make tiles as large as 600x1200, all with Sacmi-guaranteed solidity, reliability and optimisation of consumption.

Via this decision, then, the Fincibec Group aims to give its large-format output capacity a further boost and respond to the growing market demand for tiles of this type, doing so by placing its trust in a solution that has won international acclaim and acknowledgement. “For Sacmi”, points out Giuseppe Miselli, Sales Manager for Italy, “this represents solid confirmation of the trust placed in its technological and plant engineering solutions by a firm that is a key player in the Sassuolo ceramic district and one with a long tradition of investing in quality and continuous innovation”.
