New Sacmi cutting machine

From the world’s leading ceramic machinery manufacturer, innovative solutions for the extruded products industry.

Following years of experience in extruded floor products, Sacmi has designed and patented an all-new extruded floor tile cutting machine. This machine consists of a conveyor belt - moving at the same speed as the material column (as detected by an encoder) - on which a shuttle follows the flow of material, again at the same speed. One or more pairs of cutting discs, which effect the transverse cut, are mounted on the shuttle. Both movements are driven by a pair of brushless motors. The longitudinal cut is effected by other cutting discs at the machine outlet. The uniqueness of this machine lies in the fact that it effects both transverse and longitudinal cuts with disc blades, thus making it possible to obtain edges that are not only burr-free but rounded too. This cutting machine accepts (green) products up to 660 mm wide and can cut pieces of unlimited length. There are no minimum size limits either. The machine inlet features a mobile roller unit (to allow mould change-over), complete with a conveyor having an encoder to detect the speed of the extruded material. Machine dimensions are as follows: length 3735, width 1170 and height 1400.
