New high pressure AVM integrated casting station for Royal Ceramic Lanka (Sri Lanka)

New Sacmi AVM high pressure WC casting station now fully operational.

Rocell (Royal Ceramic Lanka), a Colombo Sri Lanka company, has, as part of its output expansion programme, now purchased - and successfully started up - a high pressure SACMI casting station for WCs.

This integrated casting station, installed for the first time in an existing factory within the Indian sub-continent area, consists of 2 single-mould casting machines which produce complex stick-on rim WCs by casting them in 7-part resin moulds.
The station is served by a versatile handling robot that applies the glue for the rim, handles de-moulding, transfers items to the finishing stations and storage units and also, where necessary, flips the products over.

The AVM station provides the best possible solution for the manufacture of complex WCs requiring equally complex finishing tasks while continuing to ensure outstanding output flexibility. Mould changeovers are fast and independent, allowing the mould to be changed on one of the two machines without having to shut down operations on the other.
This casting station is also suitable for very short production runs, letting manufacturers supply the variations the market demands ever-more often.

New modelling solutions have been created by some of the most renowned Italian designers and the manufactured articles are intended for the international market, major property development groups and hotels.

Royal Ceramic Lanka, which recently took over Lanka Tiles, is now the biggest ceramic group in Sri Lanka, yet also the first producer within the Indian sub-continent area to acquire this technology for the high pressure casting of complex WCs.
