Nuovo Corso: extruded ventilated facade output is go!

First Italian plant to open at Carpineti. The machines? By Sacmi, of course!

In the world of wall cladding aesthetics and practicality go hand in hand. Hence the market’s growing interest in ventilated facades made of extruded porcelain tile, a sector in which Sacmi is, in terms of production technology, the undisputed leader.

It’ll come as no surprise, then, that the machines currently being delivered and installed at Nuovo Corso (formerly Dual) in Carpineti (Reggio Emilia) have been built by Sacmi. The very first Italian plant to produce extruded ventilated facades, the factory is scheduled to come on line in mid-2010: it will have an output capacity of around 1500 m2 of product a day or the equivalent in large-size flooring tiles (up to 1200 x 3000 mm).

When compared to facades made using traditional technology, the aesthetic potential of extruded ventilated facades produced with Sacmi technology is nothing less than enormous. An extensive decoration range, in fact, is applicable to these facades. Moreover, the plant Sacmi has supplied to Nuovo Corso also includes two 5-layer rapid roller driers, two roller kilns, a finishing and squaring station and, last but certainly not least , a fully automated palletization line.
