Poland, Paradyz expands the Wielka Wola plant

New klinker production lines based on the innovative Sacmi PH3200 press

Less than a year after the inauguration of the new Wielka Wola plant, Polish group Ceramika Paradyz has started up two new production lines for medium-small red body (pressed klinker) tiles.

After completing the new plant site engineers at Paradyz immediately set about renovating the existing one alongside it, demolishing all the old, obsolete machines and installing modern lines in their place; these are more productive and far more energy-efficient. Sacmi has proudly lent its support to the Paradyz Group in this important investment by supplying two new PH3200 presses, two FMS255 kilns and Nuova Fima sorting and palletizing lines.

More specifically, the PH3200 represents the last and most innovative press model to leave the factory gates at Imola. With a massive infeed width of 2450 mm and a pressing force of 3200 tons, the rigid structure, equipped with an innovative linked tie-rod pre-load system, gives excellent reliability. Proportional hydraulics and the latest-generation interface complete this high-performance press. Last but not least, like all Sacmi presses, the PH3200 features automatic hydraulic pump deactivation in the event of a line stoppage, thus giving considerable energy savings.

Expansion and re-organisation with automated lines that boost productivity while lowering energy costs underline the forward-thinking strategy of Paradyz management, a strategy that is yielding both higher performance and greater growth despite the current economic downturn.
