Refractories, new orders from all over the world

Sacmi continues to expand sales. Group presses now used in the Czech Republic and India.

Italy
Sacmi continues to expand its sales in the refractory sector. Sacmi-made presses were recently purchased by the Italian company Sanac, a refractory producer belonging to the Riva Acciai industrial group. The Massa plant was supplied with a PHR 1000 press for the production of pipes and nozzles with high quality materials, while at the Gattinara plant a PHR 2000 for the production of MgC Bricks will soon be installed. Once again SACMI has confirmed its role as the main supplier of hydraulic presses to Italian shaped refractories producers.

Czech Republic
Sacmi’s refractory brick production presses are now operative in the factories of PD Refractories. Following the 500 ton press supplied a few years ago, this company - based in the Czech Republic – recently decided on the purchase of three 1000-ton presses (of which one long-stroke) to make fire clay and high alumina bricks with complicated shapes and high dimensions tolerances for steel, coke, ceramic and alumina industry. Two presses were supplied last month, while the third will be installed by the end of January 2006.

India
In India, a key country for the Sacmi Group’s refractory division, a PHR 1600 hydraulic press for the production of MgC Bricks was installed at Meena Agency, in Gujarat. This Indian company, which works in collaboration with Tata Refractories, has selected Sacmi as a key partner.
A 1600-ton press for the production of dolomite will, instead, be produced in the Belpahar plant of Tata Refractories.
This last press will raise the number of presses operative in plants wholly or partially owned by Tata Refractories to 8.
