Revigres, boosting large tile output with Sacmi

New PH 7500 press and EVA 984 vertical dryer successfully installed and started up.

Already a leading producer of technical and glazed porcelain tiles, Portuguese company Revigres has once again decided to join forces with Sacmi to boost its large-format output capacity.

The fulcrum of this new production line – already installed and fully operative – is the PH 7500 press, just perfect for the production of large tiles. The press features an array of innovative technology and ensures uniform distribution of pressing force, even on the largest models. Taking full advantage of an ever-stronger market trend – which is seeing large tiles play an ever-more important role as high-end products – Revigres has chosen to boost output capacity by going for a machine that is reliable, strong and offers ample opportunities for future development in terms of product range. While initially equipped with 3-cavity SMS upper forming dies – suitable for the production of 600 x 600 m tiles – the press is, in fact, also designed to produce larger sizes such as 600x1200, 800x800 and 900x900 mm.

The line supplied by Sacmi also includes an automatic EVA 984 vertical dryer, which belongs to a new series that has already won worldwide acclaim on account of outstanding technology, low energy consumption, versatility, user-friendliness and easy maintenance. A distinctive feature of this new dryer series, in fact, is that it can bring tile moisture content down to very low levels, thus maximising both unfired strength and temperature uniformity.
