Since its first edition in 1995 Mosbuild has grown at a staggering rate and is now Russia’s biggest construction and interior design fair. It is, moreover, a reference point not only for Russia but all the former Soviet States. Due to be held at the Crocus Expo and the Exhibition Center of Moscow from 1st to 4th April, Mosbuild 2008 will, with a massive 167,000 square metres of floor space, be bigger than ever.
The 2007 edition was a huge hit, attracting some 93,000 visitors – architects, designers, planners, construction company managers and many others - and 2,667 exhibitors from over 40 countries: a huge opportunity, then, for major suppliers of building materials, tools and instruments, design technology, sanitaryware articles, interior and exterior design items, decorations and lighting systems. The Sacmi stand will be located in the “Technoceramica” area (Pavilion 5, Hall 1, Stand n. I129); with an extensive stand area of about 70 m2, the Group is clearly putting its faith in the emerging economies of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States).
A key showcase for Sacmi, then, where it will be present with the Ceramics&Tiles and Whiteware division sales teams plus personnel from the Moscow branch: established in 1996, the latter not only offers customers sales support but also provides valuable spare parts and technical assistance services.
The organisers expect to conclude this 2008 edition – Mosbuild’s 14th anniversary – with further and significant increases in the number of exhibitors and visitors. This edition also has a new look, designed to reflect the growing supply-side specialisation in the construction industry and, by consequence, the wall tiling and interior design fields. So, in addition to the traditional stands – divided into six major business-themed areas – Mosbuild 2008 also offers a packed schedule of subject-specific seminars and events.
