SACMI Deep Digital heads for Castellón de la Plana

SACMI IBERICA has inaugurated its own showroom, designed to display all the latest ceramic manufacturing and decoration developments that are leading to full 4.0 digitalization and supervision at every single stage of production.

On display in the SACMI Iberica showroom, the Deep Digital line integrates and introduces a system for digital control of all surface enhancement tasks, from glazing and decoration to the deposit of grains, flakes and other elements. The line will feature three machines: two digital DHD1208 machines equipped, respectively, with Seiko and Dimatix heads (a new feature to maximise the versatility of the platform), and the new DDG1422 (Digital Dry Glazing) machine, which deposits grains and flakes using SACMI-developed digital colour bars that give slabs unmatched on-tile tactile and depth effects.

Completing the displayed line are the VELA 1100 FC glaze application system and a modern CAM 1404 airless booth. The result? A comprehensive digital line featuring everything needed to ensure ultra-high quality material application and outstanding reliability, user-friendliness and easy maintenance. Following the same logic, the line incorporates - by combining radiation and convection factors - an innovative material surface temperature stabilisation system. Last but not least, the line supervisor guarantees digitalization of the entire process and 4.0-logic control of its various stages.

Moreover, the showroom includes a collection of samples provided by SACMI. These illustrate the innumerable decoration opportunities offered by this latest-generation line in terms of colour development. They also highlight how glaze can be combined with inkjet, oil base with water base, liquid with solid, etc.

The potential is remarkable: even products already structured at the forming stage (e.g. with the insertion of through-body veining, a must for the manufacture of modern kitchen tops) can be put through subsequent stages of decoration. Tops with through-body veining are selected upstream - before entering the Deep Digital line - with the aid of the new SACMI SVV patented vision system; the slabs can then undergo further decoration procedures thanks to perfect inter-system synchronisation (the accuracy of which is guaranteed by perfect identification of every single slab and coordinated digital control of all stages).

At the same time, SACMI IBERICA will be displaying the latest innovative sieving and de-ironing equipment by the Cuccolini brand.

The occasion also offers an opportunity to show potential customers the new SACMI “SPACE” (SACMI Portal for After-sales and Customer service Excellence), a true “integrated ecosystem” of after-sales support offered by the SACMI Customer Service Division. This includes advanced service packages (Daily Lifetime Support, Life Extension, Academy and Advanced Lifetime Support), designed to maximise the performance and value of an investment in SACMI technology over time.
