Sacmi continues to strengthen its role as the ideal partner for ceramic companies focussing on innovation as the key to economic recovery. At the 2012 edition of Tecnargilla, to be held from 24th to 28th September, the Imola-based Group will be presenting all the latest for tile, sanitaryware and heavy clay production.
Starting with the tile business, in Hall B1 in an exhibition area covering 3,750 m2, Sacmi will be presenting the PH3200 press, equipped with the CRS quick mould changeover device and relative CE90 handling trolley, allowing moulds to be changed in a record time of just 30 minutes. At the Imola headquarters, it will also be possible to see an example of the new range of very high tonnage presses, to be employed with “Continua” technology. Sacmi Molds&Dies will be exhibiting moulds for the CRS rapid changeover system, universal upper and lower basements and the new floating module. In the grinding field, the innovative RMC440 micro-sphere refiner mill, capable of grinding ceramic bodies down to a very fine level, promises to achieve efficiency levels over 30% higher than those observed on traditional drum-type ball mills. Moving on to firing, Sacmi Forni will be taking to Tecnargilla three modules from the Sacmi Modular Line (SML), the innovative modular firing machine that, depending on the chosen configuration, can be used to make any single-layer kiln model, allowing to modify the kiln mouth and length without material wastage and with only very limited downtimes.
In the decoration field, Sacmi will display two new modules from the innovative DDD175 digital system for controlled application of powders on ceramic materials, while IN.TE.SA, the Sacmi Group company that specialises in digital decoration, will exhibit the 706 and 1406 digital printers, two Colorscan digital plotters and the Crono colour management system. For storage and end-of-line solutions, the group will be exhibiting the Nuova Fima EkoWrap packaging machine, a perimeter packaging unit that allows even very large tiles to be packaged, combining considerable cost reduction with fast format changeovers (just a few minutes). As for the automatic inspection, the new Surface Inspection Flawmaster 5GX/160 will be presented. This can check tiles up to 1.5 metres wide and 3 metres long. An area dedicated to department supervisors will also be present.
In the whiteware sector, Sacmi offers two machines with innovative set-ups: the AVB - a new machine for the production of open-rim and wall-hung WCs – and the ADS, with an extremely innovative robotised casting station with tunnel pre-dryer in which very large moulds and those for a range of different articles can be installed simultaneously. To illustrate Sacmi’s glazing solutions two glazing stations will be installed at the fair, one with the traditional GA2000 robot and one with the new GA OL (Off Line) robot, especially designed to be programmed in off line mode. The exhibition of dry glazing booths is also foreseen, as well as the illustration of solutions adopted on kilns made by the Group company Riedhammer to save energy and cut emissions. Then, on the same day Tecnargilla opens, on 24th September, the traditional seminar aimed at whiteware customers will be held at Sacmi Imola, the theme of which is, this year, “Efficiency and flexibility in a globalised market”.
In addition to all this there will also be, in the special Claytech section dedicated to the heavy clay industry (halls A5-C5), the latest technological innovation of the Heavy Clay business, designed to combine production efficiency with environmental friendliness. In particular, Sacmi will be presenting solutions for roller driers and kilns with H-supports. Then, the new Technological Laboratory at the Imola facility will be inaugurated during Tecnargilla and, on Wednesday 26th September, on the occasion of the first Heavy Clay Open Day, it will be the venue for the “New trends in the Heavy Clay sector” technical symposium for Sacmi customers will be held.
An all-round product and service range, then, able to meet the ceramic industry’s multiplicity of needs with cutting-edge solutions at every stage of production.
