Sacmi Cold Forging: all the latest on show at Metef.

Latest Sacmi-developed plant solutions characterised by modularity and flexibility

Located on stand A4-B5 in Hall 2 of Metef, the key expo for the aluminium and technological metals industry to be held from 9 to 12 April at the Trade Fair Centre (Centro Fiera) of Garda di Montichiari (Brescia, Italy), Sacmi will, alongside the deep drawing presses from the PHP line (3590 and 5000 tons), be displaying its complete range (from 150 to 7500 tons) of automatic hydraulic presses for the forging of aluminium alloy, steel and titanium articles plus new integrated automation solutions.

Drawing on the extensive experience gained from supplying two complete plants in Italy over the last two years and close collaboration with major cold forging customers, the Sacmi Group now offers a new line of automation solutions aimed at blending outstanding performance with a fully modular structure that meets the burgeoning need for production flexibility that characterises this industry.
The new press load/unload systems, then, minimise space requirements in front of the press, thus smoothing mould changeover tasks and allowing pre-sampling with manual loading and unloading.
Similarly, the new disc preparation systems allow rapid, efficient and precise execution of the various product pre-treatment processes: from the delicate task of removing the disc from the stack to the double disc check and the highly important oiling phase.
