Sacmi High pressure casting, the showpiece of the world’s largest sanitaryware plant

Sacmi supplies Vitra Eczacibasi with a key order, providing quality and flexibility

Turkish group Vitra Eczacibasi, the leading sanitaryware manufacturer which produces nearly 6 million sanitaryware articles a year at its Bozüyük plant, has decided to go for Sacmi high pressure casting technology for single-mould WC bowls.

The choice fell on two AVM150 machines, which provide the outstanding flexibility so essential to markets that demand ever-more frequent model changes yet with minimal production flow slowdown.

The switch from traditional to high pressure casting not only ensures improved final product quality: it also blends perfectly with energy saving and sustainable development, policies that have been in place at the Eczacibasi Group for years.

In 2010 the Vitra Eczacibasi Group’s “Building Products” division generated sales out of which 70% was accounted for by exports to high-end markets such as the EU, UK and USA and emerging markets such as Russia and the Middle East.
