Sacmi Iberica’s innovation has conquered the 35th edition of the Alfa de Oro, the prestigious awards celebrating the most innovative technology of the Castellon ceramic district; assigned by the Spanish Ceramic and Glass Society (Secv), the awards were assigned at a ceremony on the inaugural day of Cevisama.
Sacmi Iberica won the prize for developing a machine that allows rapid drying of ceramic surfaces of any size, thus enhancing digital decoration efficiency on large tiles. More specifically, the surface drying process occurs by applying automatically adjusted radiation (wave longitude technology).
The Alfa de Oro prize attracted numerous customers and industry operators - both Spanish and international - to the firm’s stand at Cevisama, all eager to find out about this new technology.
“Via longitude wave technology the machine allows automatic, instantaneous drying of moist surfaces, thus allowing processing and decoration to be completed more quickly”, explains Francisco Altabás, sales manager at Sacmi Ibérica.
This is the best method for eliminating water just before digital decoration: it uses highly intense heat energy yet features a simple, automatic application system that only consumes power during use and not during production downtimes.
This system, then, forms an integrated part of a wide Group-supplied range of advanced technological solutions for the digital decoration of ceramic. Once again Sacmi has been true to its philosophy: to place technology and experience at the service of the ceramic industry.
